To continue the overseas Dharma activities of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and bring the precious teachings of Tibetan Buddhism to Malaysia, the Namo Buddha Buddhist Society was established in Sibu on November 3, 2006.
With the blessings of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa and Thrangu Rinpoche, the society has actively hosted Dharma events, inviting Rinpoches, Lamas, and Khenpos to lead prayers, teachings, and empowerments.
As the number of devotees has grown, the existing center is no longer sufficient, often requiring external venues for major events. To meet this need, Rinpoche agreed to build a larger temple in Sibu, reflecting Tibetan Buddhist tradition and serving as a permanent home for Dharma activities.
为了延续怙主堪千创古仁波切海外弘法，把珍贵的佛法和西藏密宗授予马来西亚的信众；遂于2006年11月3日在诗巫成立南无布达佛教学会。 承蒙第十七世大宝法王噶瑪巴鄔金欽列多傑尊者與第九世堪千创古仁波切的慈悲加持與大力護持，本會自創立以來一直積極推動各類佛法活動。 每逢殊勝節日，我們皆舉辦相關法會，並礼請諸多仁波切、喇嘛與堪布前來主持祈禱、講經與賜福，利益廣大佛教信眾。 从2006年弘法迄今，皈依弟子日众，原有之佛学中心已不敷应用，每有法会、讲座、灌顶活动都要外出租借场所， 因此亟需兴建一座寺院作为举办弘法活动之用。于此全体信众共同的祈请之下，仁波切应允于诗巫兴建一座略具藏传佛教传统特色而较为宽敞之寺院。

Ground Breaking Ceremony
The ground breaking ceremony for our new monastery was a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a sacred journey. With prayers and blessings, we officially commenced the construction of what will become a spiritual home for generations to come. The ceremony was attended by community members, devotees, and spiritual leaders, all united in the shared vision of creating a space for Dharma practice and community service.

Construction Progress
Phase 1: Foundation Complete
The foundation and structural framework have been completed. Steel reinforcements for the foundation and pillars have been set, and concrete pouring is in progress.
Phase 2: Main Structure
The main prayer hall structure is taking shape. Walls and roof framework are being constructed according to traditional Buddhist architecture principles.
